SwarmFest '97 was the first users' meeting for the Swarm simulation toolkit. It was intended to provide a forum for active users to present their research projects and applications and to find out what other users are doing with Swarm. And it also provided a way for the users who have collaborated via electronic mail to meet face to face to discuss their research and possible future directions of Swarm.
The entire meeting was intended as an informal get-together with just enough structure to ensure that everybody who wished to present had that opportunity. Hence, there are no proceedings for the meeting. However, the presentations and topics that were discussed in a group setting are provided with the names of the primary contacts.
