From SwarmWiki

Contents

Q. How do I install Swarm on Fedora Core?

A. If you are using Fedora Core, you should check out Paul Johnson's RPMs for Fedora at Swarm: stable release#GNU/Linux binaries.

Q. How do I install Swarm on other distributions (SuSE, Debian, Slackware etc.)

A. There are currently no packaged binaries for other Linux distributions, but occasionally others will post instructions/hints on the mailing lists. See the mailing list archives.

Q. How do I install Swarm on Solaris or other Unixes?

A. As per other Linux distributions, there are currently no Solaris binaries, see the above FAQ. Probably install from source (see below) is your best bet.

Q. How do I install from source?

A. See Swarm: stable release#Swarm source (2.2). Note that this can be considerably involved, it is better to use a binary package if one is available for your distribution. Also see the notes on how the new compiler versions affect installing from source.
