Why do I get errors compiling Swarm 2.2?

A: Perhaps because your machine has a newer version of the gcc compiler that Swarm 2.2 is incompatible with. Versions 4.0.0 of gcc and higher do not allow some of the coding used in Swarm, but there is a version of Swarm with the problems patched. See the stable release page for the patched version, and elsewhere in the FAQ for guidance on coding with gcc 4.0 and higher.
