Internet wireless connection
In Villa Gualino hotel there are no internet connections in the rooms.
Anyway the conference halls (in the same building) will have a free wireless internet connection for the meeting participants; the halls will be accessible also out of the conference time table.
We'll have also a few desktops connected to the internet.
To use wireless connection you have to inform the registration desk of your MAC (Media Access Control) address.
For Windows user the MAC address can be read writing ipconfig /all at the command prompt; the MAC address is composed of six two digits hexadecimal numbers (normally there is an Ethernet code and a wireless code).
For Linux, use ifconfig as root.
Public transportation in Torino
The whole public transport network of Torino is here (about 11.1 Mbytes; you have the possibility of zooming into the map to view details).
From Villa Gualino to the downtown and vice versa
In the days of the meeting, from Sunday to Tuesday, a shuttle bus will be operating from Villa Gualino to Gran Madre square in downtown and vice versa, with a 30 minutes interval. The shuttle follows the same way of the bus # 73, with intermediate stops, but only in the part between the two black boxes in the map below.
First shuttle bus starts at 9:15 AM from Gran Madre square; last shuttle bus starts at 8:45 PM from Gran Madre square.
Villa Gualino stop is placed in viale Settimio Severo 65, near the Villa entrance on the public way.
Gran Madre square stop is in Bonsignore street, very close to Gran Madre square.
From there you have the connections with the tramway #13 and the buses # 56 and 61.
The shuttle will operate on a free base. On the contrary, to use the Torino public transport network you need the tickets that are sold by newsagents, tobacconists and by the Reception of Villa Gualino hotel.
