A tutorial introduction to Swarm: Building demos

From JBuilder

First, ensure that the Swarm binaries are in the PATH. That means in autoexec.bat for W9x, or Start/Settings/ControlPanel/System/Environment on NT or W2k.

Select Start/Borland JBuilder 3 Standard/JBuilder 3
Select File/New Project, and enter a path, e.g c:\src\jheatbugs-2.1\jheatbugs.jpr

Enter a title and description if you want. Click finish.
Click on the folder with the green "+"
Select the jheatbugs-2.1 directory and select all the Java files by entering *.java as a file name and then pressing Control-A
Go to Project/Properties to add Swarm as a library in the system
- Add/New.
- Use "Swarm" as a Name.
- Click on ".." under "Class Path"
- Click on Add Archive and select C:\Swarm-2.1.1\share\swarm\swarm.jar (or the equivalent path on your system)
- Select OK, and OK on the parent dialog box
Click on StartHeatbugs.java in the left panel
Select Run from the main menu
